Beautiful hand-blown Christmas baubles, designed and individually crafted. These lovely Christmas ornaments are blown by hand and tied with a luxurious silk ribbon, the perfect decoration for a stunning Christmas tree.

Every piece of Wearing Glass is individually crafted so each piece will be truly unique. Due to the handmade nature, every piece is different. Isla's baubles are complete one off beauties and are stocked at our Botany store, we have three options for ordering.

1) To choose you own bauble please complete your order via click and collect, select Botany as your collect location. You may then choose your bauble at pick up.

2) If you are based out of Auckland and still want to choose your bauble please call our Botany store on (09) 271 3897, our staff will happily email you images of our current designs and you can choose your favorites. For this option please be aware that your online order must be processed immediately as we cannot hold items.

3) If you choose to order baubles online for delivery please be aware this will result in an assorted design being sent. (but they are all beautiful!)

Wearing Glass by Isla Osborne 

Wearing Glass is a collection of artistic glass jewellery hand made by artisan and well recognised jeweller Isla Osborne. Every tiny glass art piece is individually lampworked making each piece of jewellery and truly handmade. A refreshing change in a market saturated by mass produced replicas. Isla’s earlier glass pieces were stocked with Texan Art Schools ( our previous name ) and developed a strong following. We are beyond thrilled that Isla is now a part of Creative & Brave and is launching her wonderful and contemporary range with us.

The pieces of Wearing Glass at Creative and Brave are all beautifully crafted in Isla’s Grey Lynn studio. Each piece comes beautifully presented in a signature box, well packaged with attention to detail in respect of the delicate nature of the jewellery. 

About Isla Osborne

With over 20 years’ experience, Isla has a gift for turning client briefs into beautiful, high-impact graphic design. She enjoys taking projects from brief through to production and has a deep understanding of print and online technologies. Isla is also a real people-person and enjoys working closely with copywriters, photographers and illustrators.

As well as being a talented graphic designer, Isla is a well-respected artist, known for her contemporary glass artworks. Having an artist’s eye gives Isla a fresh, unique perspective on graphic design. Whether she’s laying out a website or designing a new logo, Isla’s work combines style and practicality – it looks great and it works hard!

Isla spent 12 years as a senior designer in London before returning to New Zealand in 2007 to have a family. She holds a Graphic Design Diploma from UCol and a post-graduate diploma in Technology from Massey University.

Beads of Courage

Isla supports the Child Cancer Foundation by donating beads to the Beads of Courage programme. Beads of Courage provides a physical story of a child’s journey recognising their strength and courage during their cancer journey. Each bead represents a treatment (for example chemotherapy, injections, scans); an experience (hair loss, isolation, fever) or milestone (completion of treatment).
